Podziemna pętla
Będąc w tramwajowych podziemiach Wiednia nie można ominąć pętli Schottentor. Tramwaje zjeżdżają tu na poziom -1 tylko po to, by zawrócić. Na poziomie zero (dokładnie nad widocznym torem) znajduje się druga pętla, wykorzystywana przez linie przyjeżdżające z innego kierunku. Przyporządkowanie linii do dwóch pętli służy kierunkowemu podziałowi ruchu - chcąc jechać trasą przez Währinger Straße (linie: 37, 38, 40, 41, 42) pójdziemy na przystanek dolny, chcąc zaś jechać przez Alser Straße (linie 43 i 44) udamy się na poziom zero. Przy okazji na obrazku widać, że jeszcze w 2009 roku można było spotkać tramwaj bez luster i wyświetlaczy oraz że wysuwany dolny stopień w nowszej serii helmutów bardzo się tutaj przydaje, skoro peron na pętli dolnej ma wysokość "grunwaldzką".
